First Step: Reading a Basic Bibliography

My first step towards memory improvement will be to identify some good books about memory techniques, read them and learn the theoretical bases. There is plenty of memory improvement books out there, and it is difficult to choose between them because all of them explain more or less the same things.

A starting point would be reading all the books from one of the initiators of all this memory business: Tony Buzan. He sells several books on different aspects of memory training, and you can buy them here. However, I would like to read something more modern than that.

After searching through the Internet and comparing contents, authors and personal feeling, I decided to start with the following three books:

  • Maximize your memory, by Ramón Campayo
  • Brighter. How to boost your memory in 30 days, by Gunther Karsen
  • Your memory. How it works and how to improve it, by Kenneth Higbee
  • Now is time to read and learn the basics. On the next posts, I will describe the methods that I am learning, in order to let you know how to do it.
